Revenge: The Sweetest Dish

There will be much satisfaction in Milan this morning as a two-year itch is finally scratched. The circumstances and the details barely matter, it's the end result that counts and AC have gained their revenge on Liverpool. I remember last year being absolutely desperate to regain the title after Black Sunday and when we did I experienced more relief than joy. Despite some dire football the stroll to this season's championship - coupled with the darnel's attendant discomfiture - has been most enjoyable.

Celtic have beaten Dunfermline twice in two Cup finals in recent years. The revenge factor is therefore with the Fifers. I know little of Stephen Kenny but he seems to be a motivator and he and his team merit our respect (a harder run to Hampden). As I'm prone to saying - Lust was not the first sin, it was complacency. Apple, anyone ?

Spot on WG, Kenny is no mug; he'll be confident he can bring them back up next season and what a better motivator than to win the cup over the Champs. BUT unless they can hit us with a first half 2 goal lead we will live up to our 1/10 price at the bookies.

Aye, so Liverpool got done by class in the end, at least you'll be happy about it:)
Couldn't help but think we, The Celtic, would have taken Liverpool no problem if we had made it, but we would have needed a Mascherano to tame Kaka, the performance of the night in a red shirt.

I'd have lost no sleep on Liverpool winning but glad AC did.

Maldini - true football legend.

Well that's the wee unimportant cups oot the way...

And considering they no longer televise the junior cup, we might as well enjoy the Celtic game...

adios

I'd love us to turn in a fine attacking performance and win comfortably

WelcomeGuest-wee Jose Mourinho asked his players last week whether they wanted to enjoy the game;or enjoy after the game.

I think we're in for another numbing 90 minutes before we lift the Cup,and the Ginger Helmsman completes the Double.
